Bowmont Park
Details
This is an urban walk is to keep up our fitness for hiking. We will walk the Bowmont Park area, often up and down hills on the dirt trails (about 200-metre elevation gain). This is not a stroll and we are going at a moderate pace (~4-4.5 km/hr) but will stay with the slowest hiker. If you are speed demons and not willing to stay with the group please do not sign up.
Location: We will meet at the parking lot at 2123 52 Street NW (Bowmont Park - Home Road parking lot)
Distance: About 6-9 km
Who can attend: Members only - no dogs
Gear Requirements:
For fall/winter HEADLAMPS are necessary and possibly MICROSPIKES!
Hiking shoes/boots
Dress appropriate for the weather
Poles if desired
Water
