Do this walk to enjoy the River Thames and some of the historic locations in Eton. Please note that this is a walk, not a guided tour.

We will be joining 'Hike for Charity' at the start of the hike, so this is a good opportunity to make new friends.

Carl R will lead the walk.

**Travel to the start of the walk at** Windsor & Eton Riverside Station.

* Request a lift with Carl R from Reading railway station. We'll leave Reading at 9.30am and aim to arrive at Windsor & Eton Riverside Station at 10.30am.
* There is parking at Windsor and Eton Queens car park, King Edward V11 car park or Home Park car park.
* There may be other public transport options, depending where you are coming from.

**Travel from Windsor** **after the walk finishes**

* Carl is not able to take you back to Reading from Windsor because he is leading a continuation walk through Windsor.
* You are welcome to sign up for the full walk on the Meetup group 'Variety is the Spice'.

**Walk description**
Starting from the station, we'll stroll alongside the River Thames and Jubilee River to reach Eton, and its [world-famous College](https://www.britannica.com/topic/Eton-College).

We may stop to eat our packed lunches along the way or at the finish.

The end is 5 minutes walk from Eton Riverside railway station.

**Important information**

* You are advised to wear clothes and footwear that are suitable for the prevailing weather conditions. This could include a sun hat, sun cream, sun glasses in the summer or gloves, warm headwear and warm top layer in the winter.
