Snootygirl Book Club

This will be our first meetup for the Snootygirl Book Club, snooty in book choice only. Good vibes shall abound! Let's dive into one of Brazil's greatest writers and a zany narrative from beyond the grave. Because who doesn't love a zom com?

I found a very reasonable copy on thriftbooks (linked at the end) and am stoked to bury my nose in the words of an insufferable antihero obsessed with nonsensical poultices. Yowza.

The book for January is The Hearing Trumpet by Leonora Carrington the rebel surrealist and femme extraordinaire. Described by the NYTimes as a “mind-flaying masterpiece,” I cannot wait to have my brain matter flung about by our 92-year-old narrator Marian Leatherby as she undoes our expectations of time and space.
