Weekly Evening Night Hike to Griffith Observatory (moderate/Beginner Friendly)

Explorers, please join us for a social hike to one of Los Angeles' famous landmarks, The Griffith Observatory! All are welcome.
The West Observatory is a great trail with lots of views of Los Angeles. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Santa Monica! This trail is rated easy, with a moderate incline. This is a 2.6 mile loop, and has a 610 foot elevation gain. We go at an easy pace. Newbies and beginners are welcome! No one is left behind.

We meet at 7pm and start promptly at 7:05pm.

We will take an easy/medium 1.3 mile hike up to the observatory where we will take a group photo. We will then hike back down 1.3 miles to the starting point.

Plentiful free street parking can be found south of Los Feliz Blvd on N OXFORD AVE & N SERRANO AVE. Please read all posted signs. We will meet at the bear statue on the corner of Ferndell Drive & Los Feliz Blvd. Please bring a sweater, water, and snacks. Look for our flag!
