Here it is - a time-honored tradition (well, a whole five years, six if you count 2020) - our much-anticipated Holiday Soiree! We're going to switch up the venue this year and try some place different. I have heard so many positive comments from several SCWE member that I selected Chase's La Verne as our celebratory spot for 2024.
For this event, as always, there is a challenge: we’re going to aim high (taste) and spend low. Everyone should bring a wrapped bottle of wine for our Wine Gift Exchange. Find a nice bottle of a wine you love, but do not spend more than $25 (but NO Two-Buck Chuck, please ... let’s keep it around $20). This way, we all leave with a little gift, and something we can enjoy over the holidays (without breaking the bank in the process).
Come casual, dressed in your Holiday Best, or if you feel so inclined, dressed in your most horrendous sweater! We'll be on the Mezzanine level, so we'll be somewhat private, not to mention, nice and warm and cozy as we sip on great wines, have some delicious food, possibly win some raffle prizes, and just bask in the Holiday Spirit with one another.

UPDATE: Due to the low attendance, we are not going to meet our 25-person minimum to reserve the Mezzanine level. Chase's has been gracious enough to allow us to use their Boardroom up on the Mezzanine Level, which seats up to 15 people. They are also allowing us to just order off of the menu in separate tabs. So, with that being said, I no longer require a $125 per person deposit. However, Pinot the Wine Elf would really appreciate it if we could help him out, so a $25 deposit will be collected to reserve your spot, instead. You will just be responsible for your tab at the end of the night. To help Chase's out, I will forward a copy of the menu to all attendees, and will need your selections one week prior to the event.

***VERY IMPORTANT***

1. Space is somewhat limited, so do not RSVP unless you’re 100% sure of your attendance. RSVP's close 1 week prior to the event, so if you are still on the "Going" list at that time, you ARE expected to be in attendance. As you all know, any members who are no-shows or last-minute cancellations will be removed and banned from the group.
2. Please also note that you will be responsible for getting yourself to and from the event safely. I would highly recommend using Uber or Lyft (or any other transportation arrangement you can make). Neither myself nor Meetup will be held responsible should anything unfortunate occur as a result of your choices, decisions, actions, etc.
