Online Social Bridge via BBO and Zoom

This event uses Zoom for an audio/video connection, and Bridge Base Online (BBO) to play bridge. You'll need a BBO account to play. For the Zoom link, look at the BBO profile for the host for the specific week.

This group is ideal for folks with basic-or-better knowledge of the game of Bridge. We can accommodate a small number of folks brand-new to the game -- send me a message asking for more details.

We'll play bridge online at www.BridgeBase.com while simultaneously meeting on Zoom so we can see each other's smiling faces! We'll try to make this as much like our in-person Sunday Social Bridge events as we can.

We usually have the Zoom meeting open starting a few minutes before 1pm. We'll send folks to Zoom breakout rooms as we get BBO tables created. Within your breakout room, select someone to be the table Host who creates the table (suggested settings below). We usually play at the same tables until 3pm Pacific time. If you need to leave early, or arrive late, just let us know.

The table Host creates the table in BBO. Starting at the BBO Home page:

- Click "Casual"

- Under "Find Your Own Game", click "Start a table"

- Under Privacy Options, for this meetup I recommend:

-- Allow kibitzers ON

-- Allow kibs to chat with players ON

-- Permission required to kibitz ON

-- Permission required to play ON

-- Invisible OFF

-- ...and remember to reserve seats for the other folks in your breakout room!

When we need to add folks to a table, the table Host can unseat and re-reserve spaces.

The meeting host is available to help folks set things up along the way.
