We have all played games like Monopoly, Acquire, and Uno. However, board gaming as a hobby has grown by leaps and bounds. It's not the same old games, game mechanics go way beyond the old "roll-and-move" format, and we are in a renaissance of board gaming. In some games there is no luck, everything is decided by the actions of the people playing. There are new family games, new party games, and new strategy games, with all kinds of themes.
The social aspect of Board Games, combined with them being much better than the old classics, means that we can all share something that is fun, new, and interesting.
