Hi Everyone,

I had a lot of help beginning a group with goals of making friendships and doing activities together. It is at a stand still right now. We brainstormed a lot of activities to do and one was a litter cleanup.

I have trained to be a litter leader through the non-profit Keep Durham Beautiful. I am co-hosting a litter pickup on Saturday, November 23 from 1pm-3pm. We will be picking up litter with the North Street Community. Keep Durham Beautiful is providing all the supplies: grabbers, gloves, bags, safety vests and more.
Everyone is welcome in this meetup and outside of it. Please RSVP and keep it updated so we know how many supplies to bring. Thank you :-) We are going to be walking the streets near Rigsbee/Geer/North Street in Downtown Durham picking up trash and recyclables. We will meet at the corner of W Geer Street and Madison Street at 1pm.
Please wear clothes and sturdy shoes that can get dirty. Also bring water and dress for the weather.
