Free Stand Up Comedy Class + drinks and food afterwards

Come along to this FREE stand up comedy class.

After the class there's food and drinks at the bar. And then at 7:30, there's the Sydney Stand Up Comedy Championships.

This MeetUp has been taking place for just over a year now. We typically get at least 20-30 people coming to the class.

Have a drink during the class and then chill and have food afterwards.
During the class there's a new element of stand up comedy that's taught. There are six classes in total!

It's all free and afterwards there's a MeetUp table for us to hang out at.

This MeetUp event is great for people who love comedy and having a laugh - all while meeting someone new. The event organiser has been running MeetUp events for over three years.

Because you're voting on the comedians during the show, there's plenty of options to chat during the show. Plus there's an intermission. The event usually finishes at around 9:15, so you can also keep on hanging out after the show - the venue closes at midnight!

The Bank is one of Newtown's best bars. This event takes place in the exclusive rooftop section of The Bank. There's an outdoor area for smokers, as well as a great selection of food and drinks. Newtown is in Sydney's inner west and is one of the best areas for nightlife in Sydney.

The Bank is conveniently located right next to Newtown station. It's on King Street, which is easily available by bus or car as well. If you're parking, we recommend looking for parks around Australia Street, or behind the Bank around Angel Street.
