What we’re about
Online group for structured Swedish Language practise. At this time, the focus of this group is on intermediate to advanced Swedish learners.
Book Club:
The group meets every week on Wednesdays (9:15pm London Time) for Swedish Book Club. We focus on reading one chapter a week of a novel which is accessible to learners from B1-C2. Presently, we are finishing Glasbarnen by Kristina Ohlsson and we will next begin Silverpojken (the next book in the series). Regular attendance at book club is always helpful but not required - you can make up the chapters in your own time.
Conversation Practise:
The group meets every other week on Thursdays for focused Swedish language practise. These sessions will focus on a piece of reading which focuses on a topic of interest as well as one core grammar concept. We will then engage in topic-related conversation for practise. All levels are welcome but speaking and reading will be set to B1-B2 levels. You are welcome to attend and listen if you feel you need time to build confidence.
About the Organiser:
Jaye is a CELTA (B) qualified English Language teacher with an MA in English Literature who specialises in IELTS and APTIS. She is NOT fluent in Swedish and has approximately B2/C1 receptive skills and B1/B2 productive skills. We are all learners here together.
