What we’re about
Hmm...a new book or a new friend? Why not both? Come meet new people and discuss a new book every month in the Society of Avid Readers Across the Hudson! (We are mostly 25-45 age range but all are welcome.)

Do you know of a book that you think would be good for Society of Avid Readers? Please let us know at https://bit.ly/books-for-SARAH! If you have not yet attended any meetups, please come to a few first to get an idea of the types of books we read.
General requirements:
- The book should have discussable elements.
"Just for fun" reads are OK sometimes, but we generally need something to talk about. - General page limit is around 350, but definitely should be under 400.
Preferred criteria:
- New/recent books can be suggested, but will likely not be chosen until they are old enough to be cheap.
- "Heavy" reading is not really our vibe. If the prose is particularly dense, it will likely not be chosen.
- Much of standard chick lit does not fit requirement 1. The chances of us reading Nicholas Sparks or Jodi Picoult are very low.
- Be aware of the gender mix in our group - books that are heavily marketed to females or males will likely not be chosen.
Not open - The book should have discussable elements.
