No, not Canada (yet,) though this may be our last event before the new US federal administration takes over. The date and time of this event are place-holders until further notice. (I tried to work around scheduled Wild-Card Rounds in the NFL playoffs, including a game at 3:30 PM CST that Sunday.)
We’ve met a few intrepid souls who have driven down to Johnson County KS and Jackson County MO, and we’d like to meet them and other Northlanders closer to home. Using the Comments section of this event (rather than the SOL general Discussions threads,) please recommend some venues that you know and that we all might enjoy. Also suggest different days and times in January if you like. I’m aiming for anything from the City Market area north and west to perhaps Parkville (for now. More easterly locations at a later date.) Java Garage (West Bottoms,) Rochester Brewing (Parkville,) and the Mid-Continent Public Library (Green Hills Center) have been mentioned in other contexts. (Keep in mind that if the talk becomes political, we'll want to have available an indoor or outdoor semi-private space.) Let me know.
