**The GPS Directions** will take you to the Trione-Annadel State Park Visitor Center Park Entrance at the stop sign, 6201 Channel Dr. 95409. Continue SE on Channel Dr. 1.0 mile to the end at the Warren Richardson Trail Head parking lot.

**The Written Directions**:
From Hwy 12 & Calistoga Rd. (1) southeast on Hwy 12 (To Sonoma) 1.1 miles, right onto Los Alamos Rd. (2) 0.2 miles, right onto Melita Road. (3) Veer left onto Montgomery Dr. (4) 0.6 mile, left onto Channel Dr. and (5) keep going, past the Cobblestone Trail parking, past the park entrance, all the way to the parking lot at the end. (2.1 miles)

From Sonoma: Turn left on Los Alamos Rd and follow the above directions.

From Hwy 101: CA12 to Sonoma, (1) 1.7 m. left onto Farmers Lane Hwy 12, (2) 0.8 m. right onto Montgomery Dr, (3) 2.7 m. right onto Channel Drive (4) 2.1 miles to Warren Richardson Parking lot at end of Channel Dr.

Give yourself time to find the trail head so that you arrive prior to the scheduled time. That is the time we head out on the trail. It would be disappointing to miss having you on the hike due to late arrival.

Bring a snack in your pocket since we will **not** be stopping for a break.

We will start from the Warren Richardson Trail Head Parking Lot & take Warren Richardson trail to Two Quarry all the way to Marsh Trail. When we get to Buick Meadow we will take South Burma back to Warren Richardson Trail to the shady Steven "S" trail. We'll pass from shade to sun to shade, through thick forest, oak woodlands, and a bit of open meadow.

As always:
Make sure you are prepared for a hike with a group. Hiking with a group is very different from hiking on your own. Make sure that you have the time to participate. A hike can take longer with a group. If you sign up to hike with a group, then you are expected to end with the group.
If you are in the lead you will end up waiting at trail junctions. If you are in the back, you will be asked to do your best to keep up with the group and at waiting points, the group may move on as soon as you are within sight. Our pace averages 2.5-3mph. If is your responsibility to keep track of where the group is going.

Please always check your email the night before just in case there are any necessary adjustments to the hike details. Cancellations or any adjustments will be posted by 10 pm the previous evening.

MANDATORY!! Have a snack that you can eat as you walk, in an easy to reach spot.

Bring plenty of water. More than one bottle is a good idea.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes with good rugged soles that are well broken in.
Dress in layers. Hikes start off cool & rapidly warm up.
Dogs: No
Car pools: Rule of thumb is $8 for one hour drive to trailhead. $12 for over one hour. Make sure to insist on paying your driver and do it as you get in the car please. That way you don't forget.
