What we’re about
Soroptimist International of Lincoln is a global volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally. With a membership exceeding 80,000 individuals across approximately 120 countries and territories, Soroptimists devote their time and resources to empowering women and girls through community-based and international projects. The name "Soroptimist" epitomizes our commitment to advocating for the best outcomes for women, reflecting our mission to enable women to achieve their highest potential.
Since 2005, Soroptimist International of Lincoln has been actively serving our community. Our club consists of members from the Lincoln, Auburn, Loomis, Orangeville, Rocklin, and Roseville areas. Each year, we proudly offer various forms of assistance, including the Live Your Dream Award grant for single mothers pursuing education, the Violet Richardson Award grant for young women dedicated to volunteerism in Lincoln, and multiple scholarships for students from Lincoln High School, Phoenix High School, and Twelve Bridges High School. We support these initiatives through community fundraisers such as Wine, Women and Song in May, Bowl-A-Thon in October, Olive Oil Sales all year long, and eWaste Recycling all year long. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on charitable donations to sustain our programs.
We invite you to explore our website and discover how you can contribute to supporting women and girls in our community. If you are interested in membership, we encourage you to join us at our monthly meetings. Business Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm at Via Roma Restaurant in Lincoln, while Speaker Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at noon at Round Table Pizza in Lincoln.
