What we’re about
Yes! Now is a good time to join Soul Song! We take new members all through the year and are constantly learning new songs.
So, Brisbane - let's get singing! Come and check out a rehearsal free and sing like no-one's listening! We have three rehearsals a week in Brisbane and each one covers the same repertoire, so you can mix and match where you go each week if that suits.
- Mondays in Geebung, 6.30-8.30pm
- Wednesdays in West End, 6.30-8.30pm
- Thursdays in Bulimba, 9.30-11.30am
Soul Song Choirs are proud to be a recipient of the MeetUp Community Fund 2024, recognising our commitment to community building.

THE CHOIR THAT'S NOT LIKE A CHOIR
We are on a mission just to get people singing by providing a fun and funky space for people of all musical experience to sing together music that is good for the soul.
"Sing – Laugh – Sing – Cry – Repeat” - this all-inclusive community choir builds our repertoire around songs that you'll love to sing and that our audiences will love to hear. Our secret weapon lies in the way we do things - our rehearsals are judgement free places where you can sing in safety regardless of experience or ability.
But be warned - we play as hard as we sing!

THE REHEARSAL EXPERIENCE
- New members from teens upwards are welcome at any time - we have quite a few mums and daughters / mums and sons / dads and daughters / sets of sisters too so it's a great way to stay connected with your family and have fun together!
- Rehearsals are primarily about working on repertoire and building vocal technique but we try to mix up rehearsals each week to keep them interesting and we also work a lot in smaller sections to help songs progress faster.
- Those who come the most often get the most out of Soul Song but there is no expectation for people to come every single week and we have lots of resources available for those who miss a week or a few to help them catch up if they want to. You'll get more information on this when you join.
- We will give you a folder and all the lyrics you need once you've signed up. Then each week you come, you just need to bring some water, a highlighter, pen or pencil, your folder and reading glasses if you're of that kind of age!
- Your first rehearsal is free so you can check us out without losing anything other than a couple of hours of your time. From then on you can pay by the term (which equates roughly to a weekly fee of $15 standard or $10 concession) or on a casual basis on arrival each week, so you're only paying for what you use ($20 standard or $13) for concessions).
We'd love to see you at rehearsal soon!
PS - don't worry if there are only a couple of people marked as 'going' on the Meetup Event. This isn't the primary way we manage our group, it just helps new people find us. We have an average of around 40 people at most rehearsals so it's a great, safe space to come and check us out!
