Distance: 7.4 miles
Getting there & Parking : This walk is accessible by train from both Brighton and Eastbourne directions to Southease station.
If driving, it is easiest to approach the station via the dead end road from the Piddinghoe Road via Kingston and drive through the village and up to the station where there is ample free parking all along the road to the station.
Elevation : There are several steep but steady climbs.
Pace: Inclusive. We will be taking the ups and downs at the pace of the slowest person.
Refreshments: Please bring food and drink for a coffee and lunch stop on the way.
Refreshments are available at the Youth Hostel next to the station.
Loos : There are also toilets at the Youth Hostel.
Dogs : Welcome if on a lead
This walk will take us from Southease village via Rodmell up to the South Downs Way, which we will take as far as Breaky Bottom. We will then begin to loop back via Highdole Hill and Mill Hill to Southease.

Always be prepared for adverse weather by bringing a waterproof jacket, warm clothes, and high-energy snacks in cold weather and protection from the sun and heat in summer as well as a drink, particularly in warmer weather. Please wear sturdy footwear and be prepared for mud in the winter months when walking poles are advisable.
