Welcome to the Group!
This group is all about creating evenings filled with folk, country, Americana, blues, trad, and singer-songwriter-style music. The goal is simple: to meet, share songs, and enjoy each other’s live music in a relaxed acoustic setting. Whether you’re performing an original piece, a rendition, or a cover, you’re welcome here!
The idea is to hold a song circle—informal, inclusive, and centred around musicians sharing pieces with each other. For now the event is limited to 13 people while we assess the venue - as its a small cozy space and more people would be a little too snug! We tend to do a few rounds of songs - but you don't have to play every time your turn comes. You can leave when you like as well.
Respect is key: since the setup is unplugged, we ask everyone to avoid talking during performances to ensure the music shines. Musicians and singers of all skill levels are encouraged to join, and there’s no pressure to be perfect—it’s all about the joy of sharing music.
You don’t need to play an instrument to join. Singers are welcome to perform acappella or to see if anyone else in the group can accompany them.
