Come mix, mingle and make new friends (or hang out with those who you've known for ages!) We (typically) gather safely - live and in-person - on the LAST Saturday morning of each month, January through October. However, our November and December brunches are always combined into one "holiday brunch" due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. This gives our staff and volunteers an opportunity to enjoy the holiday weekends with their families.

THIS MONTH'S BRUNCH WILL BE SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2024.

Our host, the Fairing Way senior living residence in South Weymouth, provides us with a lovely dining room so we can enjoy friendly conversation and socializing. Brunches are expertly catered by one of South Shore Elder Services' contracted food vendors and menus vary from breakfast to brunch to luncheon items.

PLEASE READ this entire announcement as it contains important registration information and COVID-19 requirements in order to attend.

COVID-19: South Shore Elder Services and Fairing Way retirement community want all participants, staff and volunteers to be safe. We comply with evolving Massachusetts Department of Public Health and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 requirements in order to enter the Fairing Way senior living residence. These include:

1. SHOW PROOF of COVID-19 VACCINATION or A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST within 72 hours of the brunch if you have been exposed. We recommend that you take a picture of your vaccination card and store it on your phone in case you forget your card at home.
2. PACK YOUR MASK. Masks are encouraged but not required at this time. If you have health concerns that predispose you to infection for any form of respiratory / airborne illness, please wear a mask. If you are feeling ill, please attend next month.
3. ALL SURFACES ARE SANITIZED before anyone comes into the meal site and immediately after everyone leaves.
4. TABLES AND CHAIRS WILL BE PREARRANGED to honor social distancing. Please do not make any changes, or you may be asked to leave.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED no later than the start of business on the Wednesday morning before via Meetup to help South Shore Elder Services and Fairing Way prepare the dining room and meals. No walk-ins allowed at this time. If you cannot attend, please update your RSVP as we order food for you!

(Cash) SUGGESTED DONATION: $2 for those age 60+ and $5 for those younger.

SIGN-IN and CONTACT TRACING: Upon arrival, you will be required to sign-in and provide a phone number or email address so we can contact you if needed. This information will be kept confidential and will only be used by SSES brunch management, if needed. It will not be shared with attendees or any vendors.

SELF-CHECK: Before you register and attend, please do a self-check by asking yourself the following questions.

• Am I experiencing any respiratory, flu-like or COVID-19 symptoms?
• Am I diagnosed with COVID-19 and not feeling well?
• Am I under voluntary or required self-quarantine?
• Have I had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19?
• Have I traveled and been potentially exposed to COVID-19?

Please stay home if you are ill and join us next month.

PARKING: Please park in front of the Fairing Way main entrance in a marked visitor parking space. If there is no space, park on Parkview Street in any open spot. Enter the club house and brunch staff will greet and escort you to our dining room.
