For our end of the year holiday luncheon and the 5th year anniversary of the book club, I thought it might be interesting to revisit the first book that started the book club, The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey. I checked the LA public library website and there should be plenty of copies available.
Because this is a special event we will be meeting at Bombay Beach restaurant in downtown L.A., the restaurant has a private parking lot available for customers located at the building and does provide vegan dishes as well.
We will also be doing a book exchange game so please bring at least 1 gift wrapped book, I encourage everyone to bring a used book, and not spend your money on a new book, if you would like to exchange more than 1 book feel free to bring multiple gift wrapped books and these books can be from any genre.
Depending on everyone's availability we will play some other games as well, but no pressure to stay if you have to go.
I want to make this event available to those members of the book club who participated in book club meetings this past year, you have helped keep this book club alive and thriving, therefore I will be bringing all of you a small gift from me as a gesture of gratitude for your participation throughout the year.
So until we meet in December, everyone have a fun Halloween and a good Thanksgiving and if you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please message me directly.
