Stitch Night — Holiday Edition
Details
It's that time of year for our annual Holiday Gift Grab Bag!
Participation is completely optional. Please still come even if you don't want to participate or if you forgot to buy a gift.
Here are the "rules":
- There is a $25 limit for purchasing. You can be creative in shopping sales and using coupons. :)
- Try to put together a "kit" — yarn and a pattern that will make a project (knit or crochet). Include needles/hooks or any special notions if you like.
- Wrap it up in a box, or if it's in a gift bag, close up the bag (staple or tape) so the things won't fall out or be seen.
- Other things to keep in mind:
- Yarn is the only "requirement"; try to include a pattern (even a free one from online somewhere).
- Please no gift cards.
Here's how we do it:
Anyone who brings a gift has their name written on a slip of paper and added to the "hat". The gifts are placed in a large pile on the table.
When a person's name is picked out, they pick a gift from the table. It's that simple! We don't do a Yankee Grab Bag/swapping type, although if you want to swap on your own, feel free!
And here is our regular event description for any new members...
Let's get together and knit, crochet, craft, and talk!
Come bring your knitting, crocheting, or other needlecraft and hang out. All levels are welcome - if you don't know how to knit or crochet, just bring some needles (or a hook) and some yarn and we'll help you out!
Come drop in and stay for the length of time that fits your schedule. (Look for the people playing with yarn 😁) Please RSVP so we know you're coming.
The free tier of Meetup only allows for 10 RSVPs; if the event is full, you can still come! Just shoot us a message, and we'll save you a chair.
The meetup is free to attend, but it's nice (but not required) to buy a drink or snack to help support Panera Bread.
