Details
Have you wondered what working on ISS is like? How do we make use of one of the world's most extreme laboratories to do cutting-edge research?
How can those of us who are not astronauts contribute to this work from Earth? This talk focuses on the role played by ESA's STRATOS Flight Controllers, who operate the Columbus module on ISS. Topics include a high-level overview of the ISS operational concepts and the agencies involved in operating the station.
More detail will be given on the Columbus module itself and on the work ESA does to support and utilize this orbital laboratory. Lastly, we will address what it takes to become STRATOS and how to join the Columbus Flight Control Team.
