Day Hike Lake Lizzie

Lake Lizzie is an easy hike of longer distance (6.8 miles). We will be walking on unpaved paths that are grassy, graveled, sandy, or planked walkways. The walking areas are usually half covered with shade in the morning, but do expect a one mile of section under the open sun and power lines on the way back to our trail head. At the midway point, there is a outhouse and picnic area, which is a good spot for bringing a snack and hydration. Of course, sunscreen, and insect repellent are recommended.

The Lake Lizzie walking paths comprise a new section of the Florida Trail that is expected to be routed west of Holopaw in the coming years, but the trail is maintained by Osceola Parks and Recreation.
