In order to try and ensure a good balance of Spanish speakers and English speakers we have two invitations to the same event. Each one has a limit of 10 persons.
RSVP here if you are a native English speaker (or you speak good English) and you wish to practice speaking Spanish.
The 50p charge is used to help cover Meetup website fees. (I collect the money in the bar).
Also, in support of this local business, it is important we each buy at least one drink. Thanks.
A Language exchange organised with a flavour of ‘musical chairs’.
How it works.
· We arrange ourselves in pairs (one Spanish speaker and one English speaker).
· In our pairs we chat together for 10 minutes in English.
· Then 10 minutes in Spanish.
· Then we change partner. (Let’s say, English speakers move to the next table, Spanish speakers stay put)
· And so on.....
Using this technique we will get to know more people and get used to different accents much faster. Or at least that is the theory!
