What we’re about
This group aims to begin a conversation about Speculative Critical Design (SCD) in South Africa. Speculative Design uses speculation as a means of generating new thought with the aim of challenging existing norms and offering an alternative better future. (Dunne & Raby, 2013). We would like to bring together designers, academics and futurists to discuss how this practice can tackle our uniquely South African challenges.
