Park Potluck Picnic

The weather is perfect for an outdoor gathering, don’t you think? Doha is home to many expats and foreigners from diverse cultural backgrounds. Let’s come together to share dishes or foods we’re proud of from our respective countries. At this lunch picnic, we’ll speak a variety of languages (English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese) depending on the group, but English will be the common language.

Theme: Bring 1 dish to share
Venue: Park of the Museum of Islamic Art
Meet-up Point: Water fountain (waiting for 10–15 minutes)

This event is all about cross-cultural communication, a bit of language exchange, casual chats, great company, and memorable moments – with the hope of building friendships. We’ll also have interactive games and activities to make it more engaging.

Guidelines:

1. RSVP and let us know what dish you’ll bring (to avoid repetition).
2. Bring a dish, food item, or drink, enough for people to share.
3. Don’t forget your own cutlery and plates – let’s be kind to the environment!

We’ll gather outside the Museum of Islamic Art near the water fountain before heading to our spot. This is a free event, but we do expect attendees to be courteous. COVID may no longer be a major threat, but we ask for healthy participants to ensure a smooth experience. If you’re feeling unwell, please take care and join us next time.

P.S.: We might take a walk if there are stalls nearby and may follow up with juice or tea at the Souq.
