What we’re about
Calling all deep thinkers and seekers of wisdom! Spiritual Philosophy Salon is a nondenominational spiritual discussion group that meets once a month. At every meeting, we discuss a topic from the perspective of spiritual philosophy. Where possible, the topic is considered from multiple perspectives, including some of the answers that have been presented by previous philosophers or philosophical systems.
The outward purpose of the discussions is the same as that of a usual discussion on a human level—to share knowledge, clarify thoughts, etc. The higher purpose of the discussions, though, is to provide a space for shared reflection on and experience of the sacred or Divine.
We welcome participants from all spiritual traditions. Note that this is a nondenominational group, and it is not open to those who wish to promote a specific religion or teaching in a partisan way.
Previous discussion topics include: the soul, the relationship between the macrocosm and microcosm, future social forms for spirituality, faith, and the relation between science and spirituality.
