Walk around Shining Cliff woods

A daytime wander around Shining Cliff Woods, home to a wandering phantom and the backdrop of a locally made spook film of the same name.

Meet at Holly Lane car park (lay-by just over the bridge on Holly Lane at 10am.

We'll walk a circular route through the old wireworks, up the hill through the woods and back down the lane.

There'll be plenty of chance to stop and do mini investigations if anyone has any equipment or ideas to try (anything more involved than a quick 5 minute stop, let me know so we can incorporate it).

The route can get quite muddy and slippy, particularly at this time of year, so appropriate footwear is a must.

There is a prolonged incline up through the woods, so please ensure you will be able to ma age this part of the walk. If the full walk isn't for you, you could join us for the first flat-ish part and then return to your car.
