We are announcing this Meetup in August so everyone who would like to attend has time to plan. We will be outside and we will be at one table.

This year December 7th is again the night of the Christmas Parade downtown so please plan your parking and exit strategies accordingly.

If your plans change you must remove yourself no later than 12/4. Anyone that does not abide by this requirement will be removed from the group.

Last year we had 16 reserved seats, were able to expand that to 20 and had 34 women sign up for the Christmas Meetup so again we are doing a Limited Participation Meetup. We haven't done a Limited Participation Meetup in some time but it's the fairest way to allow our loyal and consistent members to attend.

What does Limited Participation mean? Everyone who RSVP's goes on the Wait List. The Wait List is then reviewed by the Host in the order attendees signed up. Based on your past participation and attendance experience with the group, you will be moved to the Going List.

Why would you not be placed on the Going List? A documented history of signing up for our Meetups and then dropping out of the Meetup. Yes, we know people get sick and they have lives to live, but changing to a different Meetup is not a valid excuse. Danielle has had to pay a significant deposit to hold our reservation. She financially can’t afford it when members change their mind because something better came along.

Join the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club in making a needy child feel loved on Christmas morning with a gift from you. We will be ordering lunch at Gecko's if you would like to join us. Or you can just drop off your gift(s) a little before noon. See below for other drop off options if you cannot make the 18th. Please do not select a child and then do not bring a gift. For many of these children, this is the only gift they will get. We don't want to leave anyone out.

The spending limit for each child is $40. If you sponsor an entire family, you can do more. We just want it to be fair for all the kids in a family.

Leave all gifts unwrapped

For each child you sponsor, put gifts, wrapping paper/gift bags, scotch tape all in 1 container (bag, box, etc.).

On the outside of the container, write the child's code: B for Brentwood, Family Letter and Child Number, i.e. B-XX# OR for Wilkinson the code is W-X#. The code is on the Sign up Genis for the kid(s) you select.

Whenever possible, include a gift receipt for clothes

Each sign up includes the child's code, gender, age, clothes and gift ideas.

Children with the same family letter(s) are in the same family.

Sign up for as many kids are you want.

******This is the key to the sign-up list. After the gender and age is Pants/Shorts Size; Shirt Size, Shoe Size; Favorite Color; Favorite Snacks; Gift Idea (gift cards are also welcome)

Gifts are due by December 18, 2024, and can be dropped off at the following locations:

Geckos at 5585 Palmer Crossing Circle (off Clark Rd) on Wednesdays Dec 4th or 18th from 12 - 1 PM during the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club bi-weekly meeting.

Peridia offers a buffet brunch at a very reasonable price, $21 (plus tax and tip). I used to dine here often for brunch with my family many years ago. It's not pretentious at all like many country clubs may seem. It offers a very good menu with spectacular views overlooking its golf course.

Their dress code is Casual Country Club. Jeans and denim skirts are not permitted.
