This event will be a three-year anniversary celebration...as well as a goodbye to the group in its current format.
Due to a large increase in organizer costs, it's been decided to end St. Pete Speaks Spanish as it exists on Meetup.
HOWEVER, while we (Luis and Andrew) will be stepping down from hosting duties, host Chris has graciously volunteered to keep the good times rolling over on Facebook. In addition to hosting occasional events and running the St. Pete Speaks Spanish group over there, any member is also welcome to create and host their own events: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1PxYpgFpZp/?mibextid=K35XfP
This last official Meetup event, on Friday, Nov. 15, will be at the new Outcast Brewing in the Kenwood / Woodlawn area (more info below). We'd love it if you all came and said hola and jejeje'd with us one last time.
Thank you all for your support over the years.

EVENT INFO
Join us to practice your Spanish conversation skills, have fun, and make new friends at the new Outcast Brewing (the brewery formerly known as The Brutalist aka Flying Boat Brewing).
There is no cost to attend, but consider supporting our hosts by purchasing a drink (I believe they have some non-alcoholic options if you don't drink).
**FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS**
I'm a beginner/I just started learning Spanish/I hardly speak any Spanish/my conversation skills aren't great yet—can I still join?
Yes! This group is for all levels and at every meetup we have a mix of beginners, intermediates, and native speakers. Sometimes we even get people who don’t know much more than Hola and Gracias, which is cool, too! Everyone supports everyone, and there is no faster way to learn a language than fumbling through conversation with someone who can correct your mistakes :)
Do I need to arrive right at 6:00?
Absolutely not! People come and go throughout the night.
Is there food?
The La Strada food truck (pizza an calzones) will be there the night of our event.
Where do I park?
The brewery has a tiny parking lot, otherwise there is plenty of free street parking in the nearby neighborhood.
