Today, we are travelling to Bakewell for our “Weekend Brunch”, at “The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop”. Like all great inventions, the Bakewell Pudding (not tart!) was discovered by accident! The Bakewell Pudding originated back in the 1800s. It was created following a mishap by the cook at a local inn, who misunderstood the recipe for a strawberry tart and ended up topping the creation with a soft set almond custard. This is the recipe used today to create the only "original handmade" Bakewell Puddings.

We will be having our brunch in the first floor restaurant, over the pudding shop. After brunch, we can go for a wander around Bakewell to burn off the calories!
