SCU & Friends at the WSO

After 7 years, it's official! SCU & Friends have been invited to perform with the Washington Symphony Orchestra! We are looking for 100 ukulele players.

Steel City Ukuleles (and friends) have been invited to perform with the WSO in Washington, PA on March 8th and 9th. If you would like to perform, you MUST attend rehearsals in Olin Performing Arts Center on Friday 03/07 and Saturday 03/08 - there's staging involved.

We are performing 3 songs:
Here Comes the Sun
Somewhere Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World
Take Me Home, Country Roads

Each of these songs will be backed by the WSO as we sing, strum, and pick. All practice materials can be found at NHStringStrudio.com with the passcode WAPA0307.

We are rehearing every Monday from 6:00-6:40pm, 01/06-03/03 at St. Athanasius Community Center. I will also be holding an "All-North" rehearsal on Thursday, 01/30 and an "All-South" rehearsal on Thursday, 02/13. Everyone is invited to these rehearsals, both from 7:00-9:00pm, location TBA. If you cannot make a rehearsal, you can definitely catch the replay.

Performance Dress code: all black with solid yellow or solid jewel-toned tie or scarf.
