This payment is non-refundable. It will only be refunded in the event of a cancellation or a movement of date due to Covid restrictions. This Worcester Full Moon walk will be 6 miles long. We start Waterworks Road car park, walk along the River Severn past the always beautiful when illuminated, magnificent Worcester Cathedral, round the race course and into town.
Worcester was the setting for the very bloddy final battle of the English civil war in 1651. I will bore you all with some facts at some of the sites associated with that battle including St Georges Hill, with its great views over the city, hopefully under a moonlit sky.
On that theme I thought it might be nice for the group to finish for a pint in the King Charles pub on New street. This is the building, allegedly, where King Charles hid in the final stages of the battle to avoid capture by pursuing Parliamentarian troops, before escaping to France.
We will then head back to the cars. Please bring layrs and snacks/water to sustain you.
This is apparently one of the four supermoons of 2024 so lets hope for clear skies 🙏.
