What we’re about
Stockholm Boardgames is planning to shut down at the 10 year anniversary in January/February 2025. It's been a fun decade, with hundreds of events and over 5000 members! The number of events/organizers has unfortunately dropped, compared to pre-pandemic, and engagement is going down. I'm sure there is still interest in meeting up and playing boardgames in Stockholm — perhaps someone finds another way to organize events?
Thank you for attending, and happy boardgaming wherever you are =)

SBG brings together boardgamers, with regular events every week. Play classics or learn new games. Bring a friendly attitude and join us!
Attendees are expected to follow both event rules and event location rules.
Want to play boardgames more often?
There are different groups already playing boardgames in Stockholm, and this meetup group aims to help boardgamers like yourself find out when and where they are.
- We welcome both new and experienced players, and hope everyone has fun!
- If you have a favorite game you want to play, bring it along and invite others to join you at the table.
- You can join even if you don't speak Swedish; games are often in English or language-independent, and most other participants speak English if asked politely.
- Please be friendly, tolerant, and communicative in your interactions with our members.
Meetups are organized several times per week
Each meetup has their own event host who is responsible for managing the location and attendees — contact them with your questions or comment on the event page. If you are planning to join a meetup, please RSVP so we know how many participants to expect. You can also bring friends by adding them as your +1.
Are you organizing a public boardgame event in the near future?
Whether it's in a cafe, pub, office or someone's home -- let's get together and play.
- Larger/recurring get-togethers are organized as meetups. Message the group admins with details of your co-organizers and plans.
- Smaller/one-time events are self-organized. Invite others to join in a group discussion thread.
Would you like to collaborate?
Do you have a new game you'd like to try out with real gamers? Want to reach over 5000 boardgamers in the Stockholm area? Join a meetup and announce your prototype in the comments, start a new discussion thread, or ask the group admins.
