Annual Northwest Woods/Cedar Point Ride
Details
This annual event is one of my favorite rides, with scenic views, varying ecosystems, some history, and few other users on the trail. We’ll ride from the trailhead at Route 114 north via a few trails (Northwest Trail, Foster’s Path, Paumanok Path). We'll have some options -- we can continue to Cedar Point County Park, and take a trail along the bluff and down to the beach, or we can head back to the parking lot, then across Rte 114 to explore some of the trails there. It'll be up to the group. Figure about 12-16 miles, with a fair amount of climbing. This is not a beginner ride, but it is a no-drop ride.
The probable route is the following: Northwest Woods/Cedar Point Route
https://www.trailforks.com/route/northwest-woods-cedar-point/, but we'll have options.
As usual, bring your helmet, fluids, snacks, and clothing appropriate for the weather.
