What we’re about
Let's talk about how to make our towns more sustainable, financially resilient, and community-oriented. This group is for Bucks and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, and anyone in the surrounding areas who would like to join the conversation.
Strong Towns is an organization founded by Chuck Marohn, a former municipal engineer who observed some deep problems with how cities and towns are designed. Strong Towns focuses on the many problems with the trend of designing suburbs (and cities) primarily around car traffic, rather than around the needs of its citizens.
Strong Towns is a nonpartisan bottom-up movement focused on empowering community members to effect change in their own neighborhoods. This group is one of many Strong Towns groups that exist all over the United States and Canada.
Our purposes include broadening the conversation about Strong Towns ideas, building community, finding out what our neighborhoods need, and supporting local activism that aligns with our values.
