What we’re about
The Stygian Grotto (caving club) is a Chapter of the National Speleological Society located primarily in the Greater St. Louis Area. We focus on cave exploration, conservation, and skills development.
The Stygian Grotto has monthly expeditions usually as day trips from the St. Louis Area. We train people how to safely explore the depths while minimizing negative impacts to the delicate cave environment.
The Stygian Grotto has monthly meetings; currently at the Lindemann Library in St. Charles.
