What we’re about
We usually hike between three and six miles. The description of each hike will provide details about the pace and the terrain.
Most of our hikes are on trails in the woods. Some hikes are with dogs. Some are strictly fitness hikes designed to get 10,000 steps or more in your day. Some hikes are mostly fun / historical in nature. Some of the hikes are tag along with either a CVNP or Summit Metro led hike typically designated with "FYI:" Some hikes are centered around the beginner hiker who is trying to better him or herself. As always, you hike at your own risk. We were started out by a group of bariatric surgery survivors, who realized the need to become more active in their life and truly enjoyed or learned how to enjoy the outdoors.
All hikers participate at their own risk. Hiking should always be within your comfort and skill level. Please read the Meetup description carefully and email, message, or call the event organizer if you have any question about your ability to complete the hike or other event. By signing up for a hike or other event you are stating that you are physically able to complete the event listed. You are responsible for your own safety and assume all risks and liabilities on all outings. Event organizers are unpaid volunteers and should not be relied upon to have any special skills or training.
