MELLOW - New hike in Salt River Riparian area

This loop hike begins on a portion of the Salt River Social Trail. This is basically a flat 1 mile+ walk along the Salt River. NOTE: WE WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS/CRAWL THROUGH A 3 RAIL ROUND POST METAL FENCE as we gradually climb on the Mesquite Trail and finally connecting to the Riverview Trail. The Riverview Trail has a lot of ups and downs with some steep sections. Most of the elevation gain is on this portion of the hike. Hiking poles suggested. The hike offers typical low desert landscape vegetation, views of Red Mountain and glimpses of the Salt River from both close and higher elevations.
