PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE!!! HOG ISLAND YOUTH GROUP #1 TENT ONLY CAMPGROUND INSTEAD OF WITHLACOOTCHEE THIS YEAR!! (it's still underwater!)

Please come celebrate the All Encompassing Holiday Season with us on weekend of , December 14, 2024 at the FTA SUNCOAST CHAPTER ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY

The park is located at :HOG ISLAND RECREATION AREA, WITHLACOOCHEE RIVER,FL (near Bushnell)

MUCH THANKS TO KEVIN DODD FOR FINDING THIS PARK FOR OUR EVENT!!!

The group camping area is primitive has water and no electric also has 2 large fire rings and picnic tables, Access to river for fishing , canoeing or kayaking. If you are camping we are asking for an $8 donation to cover the cost of the campground (FTA paid a fee to camp here)

We will have signs pointing the way,,.

Each evening we will have a campfire in the group campsite. Bring a chair, some firewood, and some good stories to share

SATURDAY Morning hikes ,,TBD, activity leaders, chime in as to what hikes you would want to do!

Possible Sunset hikes on Friday & Saturday evening. Time not yet determined, activity leaders??

Wear your antlers, Santa hats, Christmas Holiday colors for the lunch!

SATURDAY LUNCH! At the the group campground 12:30 pm -ish ..Grilled brats/hot dogs/ buns/condiments provided by FTA ..cooked on the propane grill to perfection :) Yum!

PLEASE BRING A SIDE DISH FOR THE POT LUCK.... We will be asking for a $10 per person donation to cover food and misc. costs... donations in excess of food costs go towards equipment and trail maintenance funds...

Beautiful handcrafted table center pieces Created by Sue. and Karin will be our give away raffle prizes. PLUS, join in singing Christmas holiday carols!

Sunday morning pot-luck breakfast about 8:30 for everyone that wants to join in. FTA will be providing eggs, bacon, bread and butter,,Please bring a breakfast food item to share or an FTA donation. Breakfast will be held in the group campground
