Injury from a trip & fall, venomous snakes, stinging insects, venomous spiders, wildlife encounters, heat stroke, noxious vegetation, weather related injury, insect or airborne transmissible virus and disease, smoke inhalation, wildfire, falling trees.

This hike is the longer of two hikes on Friday. Both hikes begin at the same trailhead and at the same time.

There are no day use or parking fees at this trailhead. Water and bathrooms are available at the trailhead.

This will be a 6 hour +/- leisurely paced hike of about 14 miles +/-.
We will meet at the Shangri-La trailhead parking area no later than 8:45 a.m.

See the Shangri La to Ross Prairie hike description for description of the first few miles of this hike. After reaching Ross Prairie we will continue to he Stonehenge of the Cross Florida Greenway. After a short break at there we will return to Shangri-La trailhead the way we came.

Make sure to:
wear proper hiking footwear and clothing
adequate quantity of water. 2 quarts or 2 liters highly recommended
bug spray/sunscreen
food/snacks
