KAYAK/SUP: Turtle Beach/Midnight Pass - either 3 or 7+ miles - w/Lunch

Kayak rentals are available at Turtle Beach.

ARRIVAL: No later than than 9:00 am to be ready for a launch at 9:30 am (or before ). Be on time and don't be left behind!

PARKING: Park at the NEW Kayak launch immediately on your left after you make a right turn from Midnight Pass Road to Turtle Beach Road.

DESCRIPTION:

SHORT OPTION: Total short trip is mileage is approximately 3 miles with a break halfway. Beginners and those looking for a shorter and more leisure paddle are welcome. We launch from Turtle Beach and paddle to Midnight Pass where we take a break with an optional swim in the Gulf.

LONG OPTION: Total long trip mileage is 7+ miles. Due to the distance it is intended for intermediate/experienced paddlers only. We launch from Turtle Beach and paddle across the ICW to Vamo. From there we will paddle south to Spanish Point, Osprey Park, then cross back over the ICW to Casey Key and our final stop at Midnight Pass before returning to the Turtle Beach launch.

UPON ARRIVAL: Please sign the "Paddle Liability Waiver" upon arrival on the morning of the trip (unless you have previously signed an annual waiver).

This paddle is exclusively for members of SP&P.
No spouses, guests, pets or +1's allowed on this paddle.

BRING: PFD and WHISTLE (required by law) and (optional) snacks, drinks, sunscreen, bug repellent, bilge pump, water shoes, dry bag, paddle leash, camera, etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Since the demand to attend our paddling events is unusually high, we request that if your plans change and you won't be attending, that you remove your name from the "attendee list" as soon as possible! If you do not remove yourself from the list of attendees WITHIN 24 HOURS of the event, you will be marked as a "NO SHOW". If you have THREE "NO SHOW"s you will be dropped from the group.

FIRST TIMERS: SunCoast Pedal & Paddle (SP&P) decals will be available for purchase prior to the event. The cost is $3. (please help me out with exact change). BY displaying the SP&P decal on your kayak, you will not have to sign the liability waiver on EACH trip you attend (instead you will sign an annual waiver when you purchase the decals).
