KAYAK/SUP: Hillsboro River - Rotary Pk to Lettuce Lake and Back (no shuttle)

FIRST TIMERS: SunCoast Pedal & Paddle (SP&P) decals are available for purchase prior to this event. The cost is $3 (please help out with exact change). Display the SP&P decal on your kayak and you won't have to sign the liability waiver on EACH trip you attend (instead you will sign an annual waiver when you purchase the decals).

Rotary Riverfront Park is at the Intersection of Fowler Ave. and I-75 (very easy to get to!). The section of the River that we will be paddling is a beautiful and very tranquil section of the Hillsborough River with shade from the tall trees lining both sides of the river.

Please arrive no later than 9:00 am for a launch at 9:30 am SHARP!

This location is also a small boat launch ramp so please launch on either side (grass) of the ramp.

NO SHUTTLE: We will paddle upstream river for 4 miles before turning around and paddling back, a total of 8+ miles.

DON'T FORGET: PFD and whistle (both mandatory), water, bug spray, sunscreen, bilge pump, paddle float, paddle leash, spray skirt, etc.

ONLY SP&P members allowed on this paddle. No guests, pets, +1's or spouses allowed.

UPON ARRIVAL! If you have not yet purchased SP&P decals, sign a "Participant Liability Waiver" BEFORE getting on the water.

IMPORTANT: Approximately 5 minutes before launch time we will hold a MANDATORY FOR ALL pre-paddle guidelines/safety briefing. Please do not get into your kayaks until AFTER the safety briefing is over.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Since the demand to attend our paddling events is unusually high, we request that if you plan on NOT attending the paddle that you remove your name from the "attendee list" as soon as possible! Please be considerate of other members of SunCoast Pedal & Paddle.

This paddle is for intermediate/experienced paddlers only and is not suitable for novices/beginners.
