BUCK GULLY RESERVE HIKE AND CORONA DEL MAR CHRISTMAS WALK

ABOUT THE HIKE:
We will hike the Buck Gully Reserve and then adjourn to eat and drink our way through the 45th Annual Corona del Mar Christmas Walk and Street Fair. The Buck Gully Reserve includes 300 acres of lush wilderness and is home to numerous species of plants and animals. The trail runs through protected open space along a creek with bridges that cross the creek. (Dogs are not allowed.) The trail will be up and back and will initially have a gradual upslope. The hike will be approximately 2 hours including a short break. The round trip hike distance will be approximately 5 miles with an elevation gain of less than 500 feet. Following the hike, we will have the option of returning to the parking area or walking approximately five city blocks down to the Corona del Mar Christmas Walk to sample the festivities available at the Street Fair.

ABOUT THE HOLIDAY WALK: The Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce presents the 45th Annual Christmas Walk, a Holiday Festival & Community Tradition. The "walk" is several blocks long and provides live entertainment, restaurant tastings, the Fireman's Grill BBQ, a beer and wine garden, merchant promotions, prizes and games... all in true holiday spirit! FREE to the public, between 11 AM - 5 PM. Restrooms are available at the beer and wine garden and at various retail establishments located on the walk along Pacific Coast Highway.

DIRECTIONS TO MEETUP PARKING: From Pacific Coast Highway in Corona del Mar, heading south turn left on Marguerite and turn left on 5th Street. Park at the corner parking lot located at 5th and Marguerite across the street from the Oasis Senior Center. There is also street parking in the surrounding residential areas.
