What we’re about
I love reading📚 books.... and I also love cafes☕🍷 and getting together with other women for a coffee or wine, so I have decided to combine all three in a relaxed and informal setting beside the water in and around Kawana Island. I have three different places in mind at present and will vary the place for our Meetups.
This is a small informal group for any women who love reading and talking about the books they are reading, and what better way to do that than with a glass of wine or maybe a coffee and cake at a local Canalside cafe in and around Kawana that will be held on a weekday afternoon once a month.
Each of us will bring along a book that we have recently read and give others a short review of it about it over a drink and/snack in a friendly and casual atmosphere. These will be held on a weekday afternoon from 2.30pm-4.30pm.
You are very welcome to swap your books with each other and the only requirement I have is that it's returned to the owner at the next month's Book club Meetup (unless otherwise arranged with that member), and please also swap a phone number with the person with whom you are borrowing it from.
Theer will be an Annual (Non refundable) membership fee of $10 to cover the fees that I have to pay meetup to use their site. This must be paid within one week of joining us.
