What we're about
The Surrey Heath Ramblers ( https://www.surreyheathramblers.org.uk/ ) is a walking group based in south west Surrey and is part of The Ramblers organisation. Our walks are mainly based around Surrey and North Hampshire where we explore our wonderful countryside. We offer a variety of walks which vary from 3 miles to more strenuous walks up to 15 miles. The walks are led by experienced walks leaders who are insured.
There is no charge to come on our walks, and you are welcome to come on up to 3 walks to 'try' us out. If you decide you want to continue walking with us, all we ask is that you join The Ramblers ( https://www.ramblers.org.uk/become-a-member.aspx ), which currently costs £41.00 per year (80p a week).
Joining The Ramblers brings all the benefits of being part of the UK's largest walking organisation, with discounts available in many outdoor activity shops (e.g. Cotswold Outdoor, Millets, Mountain Warehouse) as well as the option to join other Rambler groups either locally or nationally when on holiday. Your membership fees also contributes to The Ramblers' efforts to promote walking as a healthy pastime, to campaign for access and to fight for maintained access to our rights of way.
Not all our members are on Meetup, so there will be more people on walks than are shown on Meetup. For a general idea, we typically get 10-20 people on our walks.
Group members who join the group but do not walk with us will be removed.
