Gahuti Trail at Fort Mountain State Park - 9 miles Strenuous

Let's Take a Hike on the Gahuti Backcountry Trail at Fort Mountain! Let's burn off some of that turkey!

This is a fabulous trail at Fort Mountain State Park that has wonderful mountain views and a waterfall! The trail itself is about 8 miles but we will add on the West Overlook Trail for the mountain views.

The meeting spot will be at the Restrooms at the end of Old Fort Road at 9:30am. Parking is $5 unless you have the GA State Parks annual pass. Please bring plenty of water, snacks and hiking poles are recommended. We will stop for lunch on the trail. Our pace will be 2-2.5 mph.
