3rd Annual Getaway (Day 2): Bike Winter Garden to Clermont (30 miles r/t)

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU SIGN UP !!

This getaway is supposed to be a social event and involves an overnight stay in Winter Garden. Hotel details can be found under "3rd Annual Getaway (Day 1): Winter Garden - A Christmas Wonderland"
However, if you do not want to spend the night in a hotel, you can still sign up for each or any of the two days individually.

If you want to do both days, please sign up on both so that we know whom to expect.

Join us for a casual bike ride from Winter Garden to Clermont. Both trails will be paved but quite hilly, please keep that in mind before you decide to join us and pick the bike you will use. Total distance will be 30 miles r/t, our speed 10 - 12 mph, unless it goes downhill.
Please bring along sufficient water and check your bike before the ride.

Kick off is at 09:00 AM at the Winter Garden Fountain in the Median, just across the historic Edgewater Hotel. Please be there a few minutes early.

We will ride on the West Orange Trail and change over to the South Lake Trail until we reach Clermont.

Once we arrive at the picturesque town of Clermont, we will ride around historic downtown and stop for a break at Flag Coffee Corner, a modern coffee shop with outdoor seating.

After that we will make our way back to Winter Garden at a casual pace.

We might get lunch and/or desert at Rosallie Le French Cafe before we head back home. Their food, pastries and sweet treats are just amazing!!

Reminder: We highly recommend staying overnight (Wednesday, December 11th to Thursday, December 12th) to be able to enjoy an evening in wonderful Winter Garden. The town's center is lined with outdoor restaurants, cafes and a picturesque beer garden at Crooked Can Brewing Company. The town will be decorated for the Christmas season.
