Colour us intrigued with December's fantasy novel "A Darker Shade of Magic" by Victoria E. Schwab!

Kell is one of the last Antari - magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.
Kell was raised in Arnes - Red London - and officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.
Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they'll never see. It's a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand.
After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.
Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they'll first need to stay alive.

Welcome to our new members! There is no pressure to have read the book in order to attend (if you don't mind the spoilers). Please be sure to register for either the Saturday or the Sunday Book Club events (not both), in order to let everyone have a chance to RSVP. If you would like to attend both sessions, please send us a message!
The Book Club is pretty relaxed! We generally follow the same format:
- Meet up and introduce ourselves and the regulars - there is time to order food and drink
- Conversation about our likes, dislikes, concepts and themes in the book
- (Optional) tangents about other things that are loosely associated with the book - recommendations, other media
- General catch ups and socialising!

Would you like to be a little more involved with the club's activities?
Let us know via message or on Discord if you have any ideas for meetups that people would enjoy, or would like to help with organising the Book Club.
