What is Authentic Relating?

Authentic Relating Games are facilitated exercises that help people practice the skills for deep listening and authentic communication. Working with these games gives us a foundation for participation in Circling.

What is Circling?

Circling is the practice of a communication system based on authenticity, deep empathic listening and meditative presence. It consists of a combination of distinct qualities, skills, and principles that strengthen both interpersonal communication & relational intelligence, and extend our perceptual range.

Circling creates a forum for mindful connection where individuals can get to know both themselves and one another more deeply, share the experience of this knowing with one another, and create mutual understanding, trust, psychological safety and intimacy. It can also open doors for transpersonal experience and emergent collective intelligence within groups.

How it works

The evening will begin with some smaller group work and move into two facilitated larger group circles, with breaks in between to grab snacks, stretch and take a break from the screen.

About the facilitators

Michael Winnel & Vicky Turner are experienced & certified Circlers and Circling Facilitators, and proteges of Guy Sengstock & The Circling Institute in CA since early 2020. We hope you will join us for what's sure to be a rich, connective and nourishing evening of Circling.
