Disney Lorcana Weekly Casual at Geeky Teas & Games Burbank

Disney Lorcana casual play event information!

Geeky Teas & Games currently hosts a casual play event for Lorcana every Friday at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome!

This is a very casual event where players can play with decks of any power level! Event sign up can start as early as 6pm every Friday and there is no official end time. That being said the store has a hard closing time at midnight. Players will NOT be paired or timed during the event.

We encourage everyone to make an account on Melee.gg prior to attending their first event.
Staff can answer any questions and help with any issues that arise.

Points are currently awarded as follows:

• 1 point for attending the casual play event
• 1 point for each GAME played
• 1 ADDITIONAL point for each GAME won (1 for each loss, 2 for each win)
• 1 point for each player who brings a new friend
• 1 point for each player who is wearing Disney themed attire
• 2 points for playing at least one 3+ player game

An individual can earn up to 10 points per event. (Up tp 40 for the entire round) (Information on the prizes will be announced here on discord once the Disney Lorcana center sends them to us.)

Prizing based on points is awarded at the end of each FOUR WEEK ROUND. In addition, each event that is NOT a prizing event, we raffle a few booster packs at random to the players during the event. All point holders who are not present at the time of prizing may receive their prize the following Friday’s event. Any prizes that remain unclaimed after one week post prizing will be used for future prizing. We will hold prizes for one week only (unless other arrangements are made).

League Season Prizing will be awarded at the end of 3 full Rounds of events (12 events). League prizing does not take the place of round prizing, it will be awarded IN ADDITION to round 3 prizing. Individuals MUST report to the desk before leaving EACH EVENT and turn in their point sheets.
Points will be calculated by staff and awarded properly. If an individual does NOT turn in their point sheets into a staff member they will not receive any points for that week's event. Points can only be awarded on the day of the event that they are earned. If an individual does not attend one or more events during a round they CANNOT earn the points missed from that event.

Our Rules are Simple
Open Gaming is $5 per person, and allows you access to our 700+ game library. Tournaments and prized events differ in prices.
Wash your hands after eating and before playing our games.
No outside food or pets. Non-alcoholic drinks are fine.
No mean people

We do have cats. We keep a clean store. Two are free-roaming shop cats, and we have a separate room for adoptable pets. If you have allergies, medicate before you stop by for a more pleasant experience.
We do not allow outside food inside the store, but have provided an outside dining set for you to enjoy your meal before you come in.
Everyone is requested to wash their hands with soap and water before they play our games.
Our store is fairly family-friendly, but Saturday nights language can be spicy.
